I designed this traditional twin keel fish to be a modern version of Steve Lis' design from the late 1960s and early 70s. Following Steve Lis and Skip Frye I keep a bit of belly in the front of this board which transitions to flat between the fins and out the tail. The keel fin fish has developed the reputation of being a bit of a groveler board, but it is one of my favorite sticks when the surf gets a bit bigger and lined up. Holding as hard as you can push it off the bottom, and blasting back to the top. This board loves to be kept on-rail and requires little input from the rider to be taken to top speeds.
